Where Purpose Meets Value
Marian story

I built the Green Path to help people make meaningful change that lasts.

For years, I watched teams and organizations wrestle with change models that looked good on paper but rarely created lasting results. The Green Path was built to change that. It’s a practical, proven approach that turns transformation into something teams can actually practice—real, steady, and confidence-building.

The Green Path helps engineering organizations create change that's faster to adopt, easier to sustain, and clearer to everyone involved — through workshops for engineering and people managers, and hands-on consulting to transform training curriculum.

At its heart, The Green Path puts people first. It gives leaders and teams the tools to make meaningful change that lasts.

Mission & Vision

Making change that sticks: real, human, and lasting.

Making change that sticks: real, human, and lasting.

I built The Green Path to redefine how transformation happens by focusing on people, practice, and progress that endures.
What I Stand For
Make transformation achievable.
Turn big change into clear, repeatable practice.

Marian Hartman, PhD

Marian Hartman helps engineering organizations — and the engineering and people managers who support their teams — create change that actually sticks.

With a background in learning design, change management, and a Ph.D. in Leadership in Adult Learning, she turns cognitive science into practical systems that drive measurable skill growth. Through the Green Path, the Proficiency Taxonomy, and her behavior-first models, Marian shows organizations how to design micro-behaviors, build alignment, and make improvement visible and sustainable.

She has 17 years of experience teaching adults in academic and corporate settings how to adopt new behaviors and use new skills to change how they work. Today that means running workshops for groups of managers and consulting directly with organizations to transform their training curriculum.

When change is built for how people truly learn, it lasts — and Marian helps organizations get there.
